In recent years, voluntary groups, including Worthing National Trust Association, have planted and maintained flower beds on the seafront at Worthing. 2019 is no exception.
After the Spring plants were finished, Cecil and David relaid the bed entirely with a nautical theme. The centrepiece is a ship, which will be on a sea of blue lobellia with bow waves of white alyssum, and carrying cargoes of red salvias and blue & white salvias. SS Worthing NTA will then be ready to sail away!
Meantime, below are a couple of images to show off their work.
The flower bed is number 26; it is near the Pavilion and opposite The Cow Shed. Do visit in June for a splendid display.
Thank you to our worthy gardeners, David Beale and Cecil Mauger.
